Theory of Change

A Theory of Change is the underlying analysis that links all of our work. The Theory of Change includes our analysis of who we are, the issues we work to address, the root causes of these issues, our vision of change, and the strategies and activities that we use to move us toward our vision. Achieving alignment around a Theory of Change can help an organization become more focused and effective. This section includes NDWA’s Theory of Change, recommendations on how NDWA affiliates can develop their own Theories of Change, and an explanation of why NDWA recommends that our affiliates orient around base-building and organizing.
